Last week Brendan and I hosted our Superdry graduation event. Even though it was finals week at Georgetown and it rained that afternoon, we had a pretty good turnout! Our guests were delighted with the raffled items that Superdry provided us with and we had a nice selection of snacks to keep people pumped for studying later. Check out the pictures!
Brendan and I have about a month left until our duties as Superdry Ambassadors pass on to the new class. In honor of all the support you’ve given us in the last 4 months, we’ll be hosting a graduation of sorts. We’ll have food, drinks, and an awesome raffle with over $1000 worth of prizes! So be sure to stay up to date with our twitters, Tumblr, and facebook to get an invite!
It’s hard to believe my time as a Superdry Ambassador is in its last couple weeks! I feel like it was just yesterday Brendan and I got our acceptance letters. Since then it’s been a whirlwind in the exciting world of Superdry. We’ve been trying to raise awareness about a brand that has international and celebrity followers from around the world. We’ve learned so much about how to reach out to people about a brand and market our ideas and events. I have so many friends that had never heard of Superdry before I became a brand ambassador, and now when they see someone wearing Superdry they have no problem recognizing the brand and the quality it represents.
One of the best things about being a brand ambassador is the people you get to meet while you’re reaching out and representing the brand. I’ve had so much fun telling people about my experiences and encouraging them to check out Superdry. This week has been especially exciting since we received our influencer swag to give out to people. I’ve been taking lots of photos and cannot wait to post them in the next day or so!
I know it’s late, but I am super excited to announce that my and Brendan’s t-shirts and flip flops have finally arrived! We’ll be looking for Georgetown students who are influential on campus and who are looking to rep the Superdry style to give out our awesome swag.
Being a brand ambassador is really cool because of opportunities like this; we not only get to connect with the brand, but also with our campus community!
Stay tuned for an update tomorrow with pictures of people who have already received some of our awesome swag!
Superdry has given Brendan and I awesome Superdry swag to give out to members of the G’town community. So next week we’ll be scoping out the best, brightest, fashion forward, and fun students on Georgetown’s campus to give them a sample of Superdry style!
We’ve been sent the latest spring styles of t-shirts and flip flops to give out to you, so be sure to keep up with our tumblr, twitter, and facebook posts!
It’s that time of year again, the flowers are out, the sun is shining, and everyone is pulling out their shorts, skirts, and dresses for the spring season, well at least the girls will be. I’ve definitely already unpacked my favorite navy blue shorts and cannot wait for my next shipment of Superdry gear.
With the change in seasons comes the change in styles and there’s no better place to look than Superdry for some of the cutest trends on the market. What’s better yet is that it’s currently Superdry’s SPRING SALE! Get 30% off in all Superdry stores.
Now, I know there’s no Superdry store location in DC, but Bloomingdale’s has a good selection. Or, you can go online, pick your items, and give the NYC store a call and they’ll give you the discount and ship your items!
Needless to say Brendan and I are super excited to be getting our second installment of Superdry apparel in the mail! The last batch of items were definitely fun to show off on campus and at our kick-off event. I especially loved the lumberjack!
I’ve just placed my second order and cannot wait for the Candy Cane Crew, I love stripes, so this will click with my style for sure. This crew seems like it’ll be perfect for summer paired with some cute shorts. Thoughts?
As most of you know, Georgetown and GW hosted our kick-off event last week at the Bloomingdale’s in Friendship Heights. For all of you that went, you know that we spent the night shopping, socializing, and basking in the special 50% discount kick-off attendees received! I’ve attached a few pictures from the event, everything from our awesome DJ, Rickie, to the raffle winners with their new Superdry gear. Enjoy!
The boys kickin’ it with DJ Rickie while trying on Superdry’s latest collection.
Unfortunately there was limited women’s attire, but that didn’t stop me from trying out this cozy menswear sweater!
First of all, a big shout out to all of the people who made the trip up to Friendship Heights to our Kick-Off event. We had a great time socializing and trying on some of the latest styles from Superdry. Our DJ, Rickie, was throwing down the beats as we indulged in a night of friends and shopping. Brendan and I will be posting pictures in our next post, so definitely stay tuned!
As always, if you have any questions or think Superdry should be at your event, email us at GTU@usa.superdry.com

Amazing weather seems to be sweeping across the country, which means more shorts, skirts, dresses, and tank tops. I recently got my first delivery of clothing items from Superdry. I can’t wait to wear them this week with the weather so sunny. I’ll be sure to post pictures asap! Definitely look out for cute items, like this ruffly dress that’s sure to get you through some fun times this spring
I’m Brendan and I’m the Brand Ambassador for Georgetown University 2012. Being that this is my first blog entry, I guess the most appropriate thing to talk about is how I was introduced to Superdry.
Though I do not follow clothing brands and styles religiously, I would definitely say that I enjoy keeping a good eye out for new styles and brands that come out.
A few of my cousins from Canada came down to the States to visit my family and I this past year. Because my birthday had just past, my cousin brought me down a gift: a Superdry polo. I had never seen the brand’s logo or heard of its peculiar name but I definitely really liked the shirt. I got a chance to check out Superdry’s website and really liked the clothes that I saw. The clothes were fitted, and the unique Euro-Japanese twist on the clothes were greatly accentuated by the vibrant combos the different pieces had.
I don’t purchase clothes too often, but I knew that the next time I decide on doing so, I had Superdry bookmarked as a site to check out.
Following my learning about the Superdry brand, it still astounds me that I had seen so little of the brand before my cousin got me my birthday gift. But in contrast, since learning about Superdry, getting an eye for the brand, and starting the Superdry University program, it seems that I am starting to notice Superdry popping up everywhere.
This article offers some insight on how perhaps one of the reasons why this is the case is because Superdry does not advertise their products - at least not in the standard way that we can find on TV or as annoying pop-ups on websites.
I’ve found that this is the reason why most of the people that I tell about Superdry end up coming back, telling me that their frustrated because they know that they simply cant purchase all of the great clothes they’ve seen on the website.
Finally, I realized that with their unique and awesome clothes, Superdry had some of the best and most unique advertising that any brand could ask for: their street cred, which was regularly being rep’d by big name celebrities like Zac Efron and David Beckham. Who needs ads on television or popups to scream at you when the clothes and celebreties attest to Superdry’s gear without using words?
I’ve found this latter aspect to be the most exciting part of Superdry’s approach to getting their name out. More importantly, this has everything to do with my position as a Brand Ambassador. In the heavily advertised society that we live in, people are much more likely to listen to real people that they can relate to, such as their peers, than to ads that seem to suffocate us. Furthermore, what can be a better endorsement than for that person to wear the brand and regularly rep it among their crew?
As Superdry University kicks off for 2012, its brought me much pride to identify myself as a Brand Ambassador for Superdry. Who can find a better job than one where you get to wear sick clothes, be a part of a brand that is growing rapidly, and rep a brand that is extremely unique? As I surf the web, it’s amazing to see how many sources that are independent of Superdry are raving about the company, talking about about things such as its growth, this Brand Ambassador Program, and how the company has moved to only using 100% Green Energy. No, Superdry doesnt need to talk about itself - its got quite the street cred. Everybody is talking about Superdry.
My name is Elizabeth, I’m a third year at Georgetown University studying Chinese. Welcome to my and Brendan’s Superdry University blog! We’ll be using this blog to keep campus up to date on all of the latest information from Superdry including events on campus, giveaways, and everything else related to us being part of the inaugural class of Superdry University Brand Ambassadors.
For those of you who may not be familiar with the Superdry brand, not to worry, we’ll have you caught up in no time. Superdry is a brand of clothing, accessories, and shoes inspired by Tokyo fashion. The brand fuses design influences from Japanese graphics with vintage Americana while emphasizing the quality of British tailoring. In some ways you could start to define it as “east meets west.” The result of blending these worlds of fashion? Awesome ready-to-wear pieces of unique urban clothing!
With a distinct following from Britain and America’s West Coast, Superdry has enlisted us, your Superdry University Ambassadors, to spread the fire of a brand that is internationally recognized by celebrities and loved for its brand exclusive appeal.
If you need more proof of why Superdry is the brand to be watched in the coming months, check out Georgetown’s own Bradley Cooper sporting a Superdry jacket! Doesn’t get much better than that, does it now?
Well that’s all from me for today, post some comments and let us know what we can do for you! If you have an event that you think Superdry should be at, let us know and we’ll see what sort of Superdry swag can be involved. We’re hosting our Kick-Off Event in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for that, but for now:
